Event description

Description

OCASI, in partnership with Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services, St. Stephen's Community House, Social Planning Toronto, and onBoard Canada, is pleased to offer Board Evaluation, the fifth in a series of ten workshops on governance. These workshops are intended for board members and executive directors of incorporated, community-based not-for-profit organizations based in the City of Toronto. Eight of the workshops, including Board Evaluation, will be available as webinars for public viewing.

Attendance is by registration only. Spaces are limited, so register early! We ask that each organization send no more than two people to each workshop. Registration is first come, first served.

Summary

The workshop will focus on evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the Board in your organization. We will focus on three key areas: Mission and Vision Community Impact; Strategic Leadership and Human Resources; and Board Structure, Skills, and Operations. We will review best practice tools to measure these and look at board action plans to improve board functioning.
