Max Godfrey is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and music teacher who performs regularly in Atlanta with several groups: Max and Maggie, Sourwood Honey, and The New Millennium Jelly Rollers. He also records as a solo artist, and and has performed and taught music workshops at farms, colleges, music venues and community centers all over the eastern United States, including College of the Atlantic, Williams College, SUNY New Paltz, The Jalopy in Brooklyn, and Club Passim in Boston. His essays on participatory worksongs have been published in Taproot and The New Farmer’s Almanac.
Solo guitarist Daryl Shawn blends the techniques of flamenco and classical guitar with rhythms from around the world and the energy of rock. Guitar International notes that Shawn "possesses the ability to take a nylon-string guitar and make it roar with dynamic precision and raging power." He is frequently on the road and is currently touring in support of his fourth album, "On Time".
Together S•O•U•L is an acoustic duet formed in Charlottesville, Virginia. While Ryan Garst had an upbringing in low-country Virginia, Emily Kresky was born and raised in urban New Jersey. Together, they match in gorgeous vocal harmonies and melodic guitar lines, forming a uniquely-flavored spin on contemporary indie folk-pop.
