Max and Maggie ~ Spinning out variations on ancient American fiddle tunes, folding their powerful harmonies into folk songs and ballads, Max and Maggie are hitting the streets, working out a balance between the old and the new, between rootedness and spontaneity, and between tradition and creativity. Their sound brings together a wide range of southern musical genres, from dance tunes and ballads, to spirituals, work songs, and blues. Max brings a wild fiddle style, a head full of verses, and a voice that’ll bring a bear out of hibernation. Maggie brings a driving, percussive guitar style, sweet harmonies, powerful lead vocals and recorder chops sharp enough to give you a haircut. Together they believe in the power of old music and want to share it with everyone around them.

Pickled Holler ~ Matt Williams (Blueground Undergrass, Capt. Soularcat, Holiday Hoot band) and wife Jessica are the core of this rootsy outfit that crosses Americana borders of old-time, country and bluegrass, diving into classics and originals. As Matt puts it, "This is what happens when an old road dog and a classically trained southern gal get together and make music y'all." With varying influences such as Tony Rice, Sara Watkins, Norman Blake, Beck, David Bowie, Chieftans, Jerry Douglas, WEEN, John Hartford, Uncle Earl, Crooked Still, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, you can expect a melting pot of explosive sounds.

Rev. Jeff Mosier ~ Jeff Mosier is no stranger to the Frank Hamilton School Concert Series stage, having participated in the inaugural concert with The Georgia Crackers and opened for the Josh Daniel/Mark Schimick Project. A mainstay on the Atlanta roots music scene and creator of the self-described psychedelic hick-hop group Blueground Undergrass, Jeff has been creating beautiful music since the 80's when he led the "Born in the Barn" radio show on WRFG 89.3 FM and participated in an early formation of Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit. The banjo is his podium, and it's a joy to hear the man preach! The Reverend has shared the stage with Leftover Salmon, Widepsread Panic, Vassar Clements, and many more. In 1994, he toured with Phish while teaching the band all about the world of bluegrass. To add to an already eclectic musical career, Jeff also performs for senior citizens and Alzheimers patients, as well as children. He is active in public service, combining his musicianship with speaking engagements.
