Discover how writer/designer Pam Ward, wrote her novel on her front porch during the Los Angeles riots. Learn techniques on staying focused, creating unforgettable characters & turning real life turmoil into narrative gold. Los Angeles native, Pam Ward received a California Arts Council Writing Fellowship, a New Letters Award in Poetry and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has been published widely in the U.S. and her dramatic poetic/performance "I Didn't Survive Slavery for This" was showcased at Beyond Baroque in 2014. Pam has published two novels, Want Some Get Some, Kensington and Bad Girls Burn Slow, Kensington and is currently working on a story about her aunt, a Black Dahlia suspect.
