The 2023 Crawfish Season celebration will be unlike anything Mauriceville has ever experienced. We are expecting over 30 Cook-off teams from around Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana to descend on our fairgrounds cooking up some of the best crawfish you'll ever taste! Buy those early bird tickets so we will have plenty of crawfish for our guests and plan to come out and help us decide who boils up the best mud bugs around. If you are interested in getting in on the action, sign up to be a team captain and round up a 4-man team. If you really want to get in on the fun, sign up for the crawfish eating contest or the crawfish races for Saturday. There will be a parade in Mauriceville on Saturday, the 6th, at 9am. We wil also have a carnival this year ! Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more information on the carnival.

About the organizer
Our festival is our largest fundraiser and enables the committee to continue to provide a meeting space for many organizations in our community center including boy and Girl Scouts of America, provide outreach to our senior citizen population through banquets and activities, provide the Orange County Livestock Association and 4-H a place to hold their yearly show, and provide the Football Association a field and parking, as well as funding our scholarship program benefitting local students education advancement. The MHA supports local schools as well as hosts the annual Senior Citizen Banquet Dinner and Christmas Tree Lighting.
We also allow the use of our grounds and building to support a wide range of other organizations like “queuing for a cause.” This organization uses our facilities to provide food during the holiday season for Some Other Place in Beaumont. The Mauriceville Crawfish Festival raises funds for scholarships, monetary donations to other non-profit organizations and specific needs in our community and county.
We also offer area schools’ “Project Safe Graduation” and other organizations opportunity to raise funds through manning our parking lot during the festival as well as the option of completing individual service hours through community service needed for college applications. We further support our local students with 4 scholarships each year for academic or technical education.
