The 2017 Maurice Auslander International Conference will be held at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Quissett Campus in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA on April 26-May 1, 2017.
The Conference Dinner will be Saturday evening, April 29.
Maurice Auslander was an influential mathematician widely known for introducing, together with David Buchsbaum, homological methods in commutative ring theory and for his creation, together with Idun Reiten, of Auslander-Reiten theory. In the twenty first century, Auslander’s work has gained considerable impact on the many fields that are applying and using Auslander-Reiten theory.
This year the distinguished speaker will be David Benson from the University of Aberdeen.
