Maureen McCarthy's Celebration of Life

Join Us on Friday, April 21st to celebrate the life and work of President Maureen McCarthy from 6 pm -10 pm at 202 East 77th #2. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, dessert, and open bar service provided.

NYPNU's founding president, Maureen McCarthy, passed away on February 4th after a brave battle with cancer. Please join us as we gather to celebrate her life, her achievements, and her legacy.

While entry is free, a suggested donation of $20 is requested to support the McCarthy Memorial Benefit Fund:

In honor of President McCarthy's illustrious service to her Union, we will be fundraising at this event for a memorial fund in her name benefiting the United Association for Labor Education's (UALE) Northeast Women in Unions Summer School, a program that empowers and trains women to take on leadership roles in their Unions. We can think of no better way to honor President McCarthy than by training a new generation of bad-ass women to pick up where she left off fighting for the rights of all working people.
