Event description
Please join us for an important discussion on “How to improve Hawaii’s business climate.”

About this Event

Hawaii is notorious for being one of the worst states in which to do business, as demonstrated partly by the outflow from Hawaii of entrepreneurs and others seeking better opportunities elsewhere.

But is there anything that can be done about it?

The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii will host one of Hawaii’s top business journalists, Steve Petranik, editor of Hawaii Business Magazine, for a discussion on this topic, Friday, Oct. 25, at the Maui Country Club In Paia, Maui.

Petranik has covered Hawaii’s business scene for many years, making him very familiar with the major issues affecting our state’s business climate, and well qualified to suggest ways we might reinvigorate it.

His appearance on Maui will follow his participation in a similar discussion on Oahu at Impact Club Honolulu, which also will feature Kam Napier, editor-in-chief of Pacific Business News.

The Maui event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and be moderated by Keli‘i Akina, president of the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii. Admission is $10 and includes a luncheon buffet.

For more information about either the Maui or Oahu panel discussions, please call (808) 591-9193 or email info@grassrootinstitute.org.
