Workshop Overview
Focus on Coiling Technique
This workshop centers on the timeless coiling technique. Participants will learn to roll consistent coils, build up forms with stability and intention, and seamlessly blend the structure while shaping a cohesive vessel.
Aesthetic Approach
Beyond form, attention turns to surface. Through carving, embossing, or simply allowing the hand's movement to leave its mark, participants are invited to explore the tactile and expressive potential of clay.
Glazing and Finishing
Each attendee will craft a single tea bowl, finished with a deep midnight black glaze. Chosen for its richness and depth, the glaze elevates the form while allowing the texture beneath to quietly emerge.
Schedule & Process
Since ceramics require multiple stages of drying and firing. The final piece will not be available for immediate collection. Below is a breakdown of the workshop schedule and the timeline for completing the finished work.
