Description

Masters Workshop: Crisis Communications (June 13, 2019) is a small group, hands-on crisis communications conference for higher education institutions.

Crises of all sizes happen to every organization. Accidents, misconduct, protests and high-profile issues that could impact your reputation arise quickly and often unexpectedly.

When a crisis strikes, organizations need to respond quickly and effectively to the people most important to them. Students, prospective students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and donors will be waiting for your response. Are you ready?

Join us for this intimate, one-day workshop to learn about the latest best practices in crisis communications and help you prepare for crises of all kinds, such as Title IX complaints, student injury or death, faculty misconduct, student protests and public safety incidents.

Learn how to stay ahead of news and social media cycles and protect your institution’s reputation.

Attendees will receive:

  • Media, crisis and spokesperson training

  • A toolkit to create a crisis communications plan specific to their institution

  • An opportunity to exchange success stories and challenges with peers from other higher ed institutions

Who should attend:

  • Marketing and communications leaders and staff

  • Advancement leaders and staff
