Event Details

Deakin University is excited to offer a single day masterclass with Rosi Braidotti. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited so registration is required.

All participants are expected to read three texts selected from Prof. Braidotti's larger archive of work.

Braidotti, Rosi (2009) Animals, Anomalies, and Inorganic Others. Modern Language Association 124(2): 526-532.

Braidotti, Rosi (2013) The Posthuman. Cambridge: Polity Press. "Introduction," pages 1-12 and "Chapter 1 Post-Humanism: Life beyond the Self," Starting from The Posthuman Challenge," pages 37-54.

Braidotti, Rosi (2014) "The Untimely," pages 227-250 in The Subject of Rosi Braidotti: Politics and Concepts. London: Bloomsbury.

Required readings can be accessed here via Dropbox.

The intimate format of this masterclass will give participants the opportunity for lively discussion directly with this distinguished international scholar.

This event is sponsored by the Deakin Science and Society Network and the Alfred Deakin Institute.
