Masterclass with award winning Pâtissier Chef Yeo by The Icing Room

Pick up techniques of cake decorating, and try your hands at dressing up a lovely heart-shaped cake which you can take home just in time for Mother's Day!
Learn from our award-winning pastry chef, Yeo Xian Wei, Champion in the 16th Taiwan Gateaux Cake competition and Silver in the prestigious Japan Cake Show Toyko 2017.

Where: BreadTalk IHQ, Level 8
Time: 10am to 1.30pm (3.5hrs)
Skill Level: Basic piping skill preferred

What you will learn

1. Introduction of piping tips and piping techniques for cake decoration.
2. Basic demonstration of buttercream flower arrangement on cake.
3. How to pipe 2 different types of flowers (Rose and Hydrangea), and foliage.
4. Participants will get to decorate their own cake.

Fees: $90 per pax

Fees include:

1. Pre-made 8” heart-shaped Chantilly cake for participants to decorate and take home.
2. A recipe of stable buttercream and flower piping guide.
3. Light refreshments

Master class Terms and Conditions
Please read the full Terms and Conditions (T&C”) before you proceed to register for this master class.

  1. Registration for the master class is deemed acceptance of these T&C.
  2. Duration and content of master class are subject to change without prior notice.
  3. The master class will be conducted primarily in English.
  4. Strictly no cancellation is allowed once payment is made. All bookings, once confirmed, are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable and only for single entry per ticket.
  5. Payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the circumstances for non-attendance. We recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place. Please provide us with the full name, identification number and contact number of the person who will be attending in your place via email at least three (3) hours prior to the commencement of the master class.
  6. We reserve the right to cancel the master class if the minimum number of participants per master class is not met. You will be notified via email. If that occurs, a refund of payment made will be offered/given.
  7. In the unlikely event of unforeseen exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to change the date of or cancel the master class. If that occurs, a re-schedule of date/ refund of payment made will be offered/given.
  8. The facilities and products used for this master class are not halal-certified.
  9. A hygiene and safety briefing will be conducted at the start of the master class. All attendees are required to follow these guidelines in order to maintain a safe and hygienic master class environment for all. If you have long hair, please tie up your hair due to hygiene reasons. Please be sure to remove any accessories around your hands such as ring/watch/bracelet and etc.
  10. Signing up for this master class is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  11. We will not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to participants or their property due to any act or omission by the participants themselves, fellow participants, BreadTalk Pte. Ltd. (BreadTalk) or its agents.
  12. If in the reasonable opinion of a member of staff working for us you are not fit to attend the master class, for example, if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or likely to disturb or harm others at the master class, the staff member may refuse to attend or request that you be removed from the premises.
  13. Our staff may occasionally may take photographic or video images of the class for our advertising, or publicity purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such, please inform us in writing prior to this event, failing which you irrevocably waive any and all rights which you may have now or in the future including but without limitation any of your rights under the Copyright Act (Chapter 63) as may be amended from time to time or any similar laws of any jurisdiction, and acknowledge BreadTalk’s right to use your name, likeness, voice and any biographical details, photographs and recordings of you in all media and formats throughout the universe including but not limited to BreadTalk’s websites and in advertising, publicity, or sponsorship.
  14. If any provision, part of any provision, or any part of these T&C shall for any reason be properly adjudged by any court or other legal and/ or competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions or parts contained herein shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
  15. These T&C are governed by the laws of Singapore and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
  16. This version of T&C is the most updated and overrides all other versions.
