About this Event

Teachers:

Participants:

You are welcome if you are a professional singer, Bachelor or Master student of Conservatory/Universities of music, or aspiring professional singers.

What will you get:

Preparation for auditions to agencies, theatres, etc. Daily individual and group lessons, with respiration techniques, vocal training, italian coaching, role interpretation, techniques of Belcanto.

Acting and movement on stage, character and role creation. Learning on how to focus on the personal skills, analysis and understanding of the musical text, composers interpretation approach, coaching and repetition with professional pianist.

Where:

Lessons and performance will take place on a stage of a real theatre, 'le Theatre' in EMMEN, 10 minutes by train from LUZERN city.

Registration:

CHF 50. The payment of the registration fee, together with your confirmation of interest by email, will allow you to reserve a place for the masterclass. You will be asked to send a video/audio recording of your voice singing a song, an aria, a cabaletta, or a recitativo by the repertoire of italian operas of the period 1700/1900 (Mozart, Donizetti, Puccini, Verdi, etc) together with a short CV. A selection committee comprehensive of the teachers of the Masterclass, the Lyric Academy direction and Theater music director will listen to the audio/video received.

Active participant:

CHF 850. A limited number of active participant will be selected from all the singers who have regularly registered sending a video/audio, paying the registration fee, and sending a confirmation email. A confirmation of the acceptance as Active participant will be sent by Lyric Academy Switzerland in 5 days after receiving all material.

Active participants are requested to prepare one or more freely chosen Recitativo and Aria, or Cabaletta from the italian opera repertoire. A mandatory Aria, or Duet, or Terzett, or Quartett by operas of Giuseppe Verdi is requested in order to be on Stage for the public concert that will take place on the 19.04.2020 in 'le Theatre' Emmen.

Passive participant:

CHF 150. Due to the limited number of place for Active participants, the candidates interested in following the Masterclass are welcome as Passive participants. You will have the possibility to listen to all lessons. Also as Passive participant, there will be the possibly to take part actively in some collective lessons, meet the teachers and discuss eventual further active participation.

Performance:

A public concert will take place at the end of the Masteclass on the 19.04.2020. With the special participation of Bariton Massimo Cavalletti on stage the show will be focused on the life of Giuseppe Verdi. A variety of Opera excerpts by the composer will be presented, accompanied by piano and presented by a professional Actor.

Opera and concert organisers will be invited to the concert.

Certificate:

At the end of the Masterclass every participant will receive a Certification of participation, signed by the teachers.

Public and Opera lovers are welcome to the Masterclass. The participation to the classes held by Massimo Cavalletti and Sarah Schinasi. Buying the ticket of CHF 150 you will have global access to the classes (both individual and group lessons) in the dates 15, 16, 17, 18 April 2020 in le Theatre Emmen.
