About this event
This event is targeted specifically at female entrepreneurs in response to identified needs to offer more training based on development of personal skills in addition to training offered to support specific business areas.
In this masterclass you will gain some tools and techniques to:
- understand how to handle difficult people
- manage difficult situations
- understand what classifies as negotiations
- work through some skills to achieve effective negotiations
- look at some pitfalls where negotiations fail, and how to avoid them.

This event is part of Mayo Ideas Week and it is delivered by Tom Murray of Mediation Practice. Tom has been an SME owner for 20 years, with several years experience as a national advocate and negotiator on behalf of my profession including several years negotiating at ministerial level. He is an experienced mediator, with over 10 years of experience specialising in B2B and workplace mediation. He studied negotiating skills at Harvard Law School and emphasises collaborative negotiations to increase value for all sides. He has taught negotiation skills to many businesses, business groups and political parties.
