Become a Master Gardener. Utah State University Washington County Extension is providing the community with an opportunity to take the Master Gardener course here in St. George Utah. Each Wednesday beginning January 4, 2017 and ending March 29, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:30, you will have the opportunity to learn in the following areas:
- Understanding Soils
- Plant Propagation
- Growing Fruits & Vegetables
- Pest Control
- Trees, shrubs and flowers that grow well in our area.
The classes will be held at the Washington County Extension Office with field trips and demonstrations to be announced. You will get to share your knowledge through serving at a variety of events around the area. You will receive all the handouts from each educator plus a Master Gardener disk with all the class information on it.
The classes are taught by USU Extension agents and educators.
A service component, of 40 service hours, is also required to receive your Master Gardener Certification.
