Innovation is a process, not an event. This workshop is based on a design thinking approach. It helps you to understand complex problems, identify user needs and generate potential solutions. The approach is suited for management, editorial staff and content producers, as well as for product management and engineering staff.
This session can be considered as fast track on how the design thinking method can help to identify, condense and consolidate new ideas for projects that demonstrate new thinking in the practice of digital journalism and content production.
The first speaker, Kerstin Saathoff, has been with Google since 2011. Kerstin is currently working with companies in the news space on innovation projects.
The second speaker, Christian Heise, recently joined Google in April 2016. He is working with the Digital News Initiative, a collaboration between Google and news publishers in Europe, to support and encourage a more sustainable news ecosystem through technology and innovation.
