Event description

Description

The BUSINESS, PROJECT and PROCESS PLANNING MASTER CLASS is designed for coaches, teachers, lecturers, facilitators and social entrepreneurs who wish to broaden and deepen their planning and facilitation knowledge and skills. The Master Class is a set of interactive workshops and exchanges which challenge and extend many conventional planning regimes by reframing in terms of NOW, WHERE and HOW.

Workshop participants will learn our highly flexible system for making the most of their existing business, project and process planning work, to professionally develop their capability and add value to existing practice.

Designed specifically for the out-of-the-box creative entrepreneur, the Edgeware toolset provides a planning continuum which can produce a One Page (Project or Business) Plan. At the same time it can also be used individually and in clusters to suit clients’ needs and particular circumstances, budgets and timelines. The experience inspires powerful camaraderie and fellow-feeling in participants, and encourages ongoing peer-to-peer mentoring and exchange. Edgeware’s practice is strongly grounded in our experience of working with Aboriginal Australian learners. It is highly experience-based, very flexible and emphasises relationship, trust, exchange and support. We tell stories and we have fun making positive change.

PROCESS

Ludmila and Michael introduce and demonstrate the Edgeware toolset, tell real-world stories, and engage and workshop with participants to inspire ways in which they can apply, recombine or reframe tools and methods, and perhaps invent new ones. The workshop segments are ‘punctuated’ by the use of the card set which Edgeware uses in its ‘In House Entrepreneurship’ (‘train the trainer’) process.

THE PROCESS CARDS

  • Yellow Cards - THE SELF
  • Blue Cards - THE GROUP
  • Green Cards - THE STORY

We use these cards as talking points and ‘punctuation’ points in our ‘train the trainer’ work, to focus thinking and practice in the Edgeware pedagogy/methodology. We might use these as ‘Oracle’ Cards to punctuate workshop activities, or perhaps create some kind of game, which accumulates a shape/meaning (for each person) as the workshop develops over the two days.

ABOUT EDGEWARE

Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship is an innovative business training and coaching company for startup and established business owners, sole traders, entrepreneurs and community organisations that provides ‘just in time’ training, hands-on tools, and ongoing support to plan, start, effectively manage and grow businesses, community organisations and enterprises. It was founded in Brisbane, Australia, in 2005, and our European partnership was formed in 2015, comprising partners in Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary and Belgium.

Edgeware’s tools and methods are a stimulating, productive and enjoyable way to improve business outcomes, and very importantly, a way for business owners to enjoy their business as well as profit from it – to make money, have fun, and change the world.
MAKE MONEY · Is your business financially sustainable?
HAVE FUN · What brings you joy and meaning in your work?
CHANGE THE WORLD. What difference do you make?

THE WORKSHOP TEAM

Michael Doneman is founding director of Edgeware. He has a background in community cultural development which inspired work in business design, vocational education and training, and information technology. He has a coaching practice focused on the value of creativity in the growth of entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and leaders, and he is developing expertise in the application of Solution Focused coaching and leadership processes to the establishment, growth and enrichment of business practice. Michael is passionately committed to the idea that ethical, creative entrepreneurship can change the world.

Ludmila Doneman is co-founder of Edgeware. She is passionate about working with people whose voices are often unheard – young people, women, migrants, the elderly, and people with disabilities. She has a breadth and depth of skills and experience which continues to inspire and enliven, and to ‘quicken’ community aspirations and goals. This can be seen in the number of organisations she has established, which continue and thrive in their fields. She also has a strong track record in administration and management of organisations and events.
