Background:

On December 21, 2010, Lt. Governor Timothy Murray announced the Patrick Administration’s call for the development of a plan for an industry-led video game technology collaborative- the Massachusetts Video Game Institute (MassVGI).   The Lt. Governor asked Becker College and MTC's Innovation Institute to organize industry leaders and produce a statewide plan by April 1, 2011.

MassVGI would build a cohesive program to support and advance an agenda of common goals for industry, educators and government, including research, training, internships, technical assistance, and policy- and business-assistance programs. To identify these shared goals, we are looking to include input from industry across the state, as well as other stakeholders in the video game industry in Massachusetts.
