Massachusetts Fiscal Stability:

A Looming Crisis and Generational Opportunity

Featuring:

National Experts on State Fiscal Stability

MATTERS Fiscal Stability Index Launch

Massachusetts' private sector economy is thriving, creating unprecedented opportunities and generating historic tax revenue collections for the Commonwealth. But the success of the private sector is masking the Commonwealth's tenuous fiscal condition, which many independent experts rank among the least stable in the country.

Mass. High Tech Council leaders have established a framework for a sustained, multi-year leadership strategy to help strengthen the symbiotic relationship between the state’s public finances and the vibrancy of its private sector economy.

Join us for a thought-provoking forum to:

·        See the latest data on Massachusetts fiscal challenges and opportunities, including the launch of the High Tech Council's new MATTERS 50-state Fiscal Stability Index.

·        Participate in an interactive panel discussion featuring two of the country's preeminent experts on state fiscal policy sharing their insights on:

·        The critical importance of state fiscal stability;

·        How Massachusetts' fiscal condition compares to other states;

·        Which fiscal metrics states should monitor and to measure performance and stability; and

·        What policies and best practices states are utilizing to improve their fiscal health and outlook.

Featured Panelists:
