Event Details

Please join us for a wonderful evening of great company, good food and lots of talk about water.  It is Mass River's annual tradition to bring together our friends and colleagues for a warm and lively evening to celebrate our rivers and the year's achievements.

Guest speaker: Award-winning Journalist, Author and Podcaster, Florence Williams will talk to us about why nature makes us healthier, happier and more creative.

This year we will recognize the work of four outstanding river champions in Massachusetts:

River Hero:  House Speaker Robert DeLeo

River Advocates: Steve Long, Director Government Relations for The Nature Conservancy, and Jack Clarke, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations, Mass Audubon .

River Friend: Vandana Rao, Director of Water Policy, Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs

If you haven't been, this event is fun and friendly, and a nice way to feel part of a really great community of people who care about rivers. We're delighted to offer our guests the opportunity to bid on a week in two beautiful vacation homes (one in Wellfleet and one in Maine) or to win a kayak(or other great prize) in our annual raffle.

Event details and tickets are available on the Mass Rivers website (http://massriversalliance.org/2019annualmeeting/).

Please note: This event sold out in 2017 and 2018, so sign up soon to reserve your spot!

The Massachusetts Rivers Alliance

The Massachusetts Rivers Alliance is a statewide advocacy organization and network of river activists. Its mission is to protect and restore the Commonwealth’s rivers and streams. Founded in 2007, Mass Rivers works to improve water resiliency in the face of climate change, and strengthen statewide river policies in four areas: water quality, stream flow, wildlife habitat, and investment in green infrastructure.  We currently have 79 organizational members and over 1000 individual members.
