Masquerade Ball is San Diego's PREMIER fundraising gala event for college students!
UCSD Circle K once again cordially invites you to join our 19th Annual Masquerade Ball for an enchanting evening of fun, music, and everlasting memories.
On November 19, UCSD Circle K will be holding its annual Masquerade Ball fundraiser with 100% of our proceeds benefiting the Kiwanis Family House. Attendees will have the pleasure of enjoying the iconic San Diego Natural History Museum in the lovely and historic Balboa Park. On the main dancefloor, we’ll be having several DJs followed by Shawn Wasabi while a live band will once again grace the rooftop with a touch of elegance.
This year, we will be transforming the San Diego Natural History Museum into a beautiful Enchanted Wonderland. Explore our forest full of magical wonders, from a tree of cranes to vines of light lighting your path.
Your Ticket Includes
- A chance to meet Shawn Wasabi
- Access to casino tables OR raffle tickets
- Caricature artist
- 2 photobooths
- Small bites catered from The French Gourmet, RED Sambusas, and other local caterers
While dancing the night away, you’ll also be helping to assist families of seriously ill or injured patients being treated at the UC Davis Medical Center and at Shriners Hospital in Sacramento. Located near the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, the Kiwanis Family House provides low-cost housing and living amenities for the families of seriously ill and injured children and adults from across the country. Many families have to travel far from home in order to receive proper medical care and the Kiwanis Family House makes their stay as convenient as possible. By purchasing a ticket, you are helping the Kiwanis Family House continue to provide help to families when they most need it. Headliner: Shawn Wasabi
Shawn Wasabi is a 21 yo producer and controllerist raised by a traditional Filipino family in the city of Salinas, CA. He started his passion into the world of pushing buttons when his childhood friend Sushi Killer left his Midi Fighter 3D over at his house in April of 2013 to play around with and eventually create the live mashup Pizza Rolls. Since then, he has established an internet fanbase and reputation as one of the most dynamic controllerists around pushing buttons for the internet and for fans in cities internationally and awed the internet world again with his latest release of Marble Soda, which hit 1 million views within 48 hours of being uploaded.
Beyond the glittery mixture of sugary sounds, Shawn Wasabi is also well-known for the very rare and colorful Midi Fighter 64 controller with arcade buttons he uses to create his music—3D printed, laser cut, engineered, and gifted to him by the Midi Fighter inventor, Michael Mitchell. Only one exists in the world, and it resides in the talented hands of Shawn Wasabi.
