Mason Jar on Barn Wood
Wed, April 5, 2017, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM EDT
This project pairs two completely different textures, wood and glass, into one great display piece. The wood was salvaged from a local barn that was falling down. It's the genuine thing-strong though worn with time. The wood can be painted or stained during class, or left as is. We will be attatching a mason jar to the wood using a metal plumbing clamp. Don't worry- we will pre-drill the clamp to make it easy!
Mason jars can be painted with chalk paint (two coats of color) and then sanded to make the words and numbers pop. We will have plenty of mason jars on hand, but feel free to bring your own if you have some that you'd like to find a new use for!
This project can be made in three different lengths:
One mason jar (7.5"x7.5") for $18
Two mason jars (7.5"x 14") for $24
Three mason jars (7.5" x 20") for $28
One ticket per seat, please. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that you can paint in.
We use EventBrite to help us plan how many supplies we need for each class. There is a small fee for this service. If you prefer to come into ReHouse and pre-purchase the ticket at the register, that is fine too!
