Event description

Description

Dedicate a weekend to discover the roots of theater and take a fascinating journey into the origins of comedy, whether you are a seasoned actor, or have never stepped on a stage! Explore the history and characteristics of Commedia dell'Arte with Italian actress and Pazzi Lazzi Troupe's co-founder and artistic director Chiara Durazzini. In this master class, we will learn and practice the physical and personality traits of the funny Commedia stock characters (Pantalone, Arlecchino, Colombina and The Lovers among others), starting with a warm up and body isolations. We will continue with some mask work, elements of improvisation and the creation of short scenarios.
The troupe often holds lectures and workshops in schools and universities, this is a great opportunity to attend a workshop open to all.
It is a great work-out, please dress comfortably!
Students are required to attend both days. Grazie!
First day: Saturday May 2nd, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Second day: Sunday May 3rd, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Open to all, age 14+ No previous experience necessary.
