Description

Marz Talks with Land Locked Hops

Join us Sunday October 14, at 3:30 for the first in our series of Marz Talks, informal gatherings with local producers, partners and friends in the brewing industry. We sit at a table in our gallery project room, conduct an interview or hold a conversation, and enjoy a few tasty brews.

For our inaugural talk we have asked the guys at Land Locked Hops, “a small scale hop yard in the buckle of the cornbelt” aka east central Illinois, to come by and share their story on how and why they started a hop farm in the middle of corn country.

We will be serving tastes of the new Hop Comet fresh hopped IPA that we brewed using Land Locked’s inaugural harvest of Comet hops. If you haven’t had one yet this might be the last time do do so as the beer is sold out. Tim Lange will also open up a few bottles of our new Barrel Aged Tygrisku. Think of it as as a sneak peak for members as Tim speaks about our new line of hops in sour/ brett beers.

Land Locked Hops will also be bringing Comet sample packs so you can smell the hops, taste the beer and make the connection between the raw ingredients and the end product.

We will be watching the Bears game at 1pm and host the talk after it ends at about 3:30pm.
