Maryland Victim Assistance Certification Program (MVSCP)

What does it mean to be a Certified Victim Assistance Professional in Maryland? Learn how service providers in other states are using certification to their benefit. Becoming certified is easy! Be assured, RVAAM is here to guide and assist you along the way.

Step 1: REGISTER (click on green bar above marked REGISTER))

1) acquire more information about the MVSCP, 2) Schedule staff assistance with filling out an application, 3) Schedule a Level I Qualification Interview, 4) Schedule a Level II essay, 5) Schedule a Level III presentation and 6) other

Step 2: Print Ticket, bring it with you to the Trauma Tools and Responses 2-Day Training and present it in the morning at Check-In

THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS HAS UNDERGONE SOME EXCITING NEW CHANGES!

Level I multiple choice exam is replaced with an interview process;

Level II exam is replaced with a written essay (What changes are needed in Victim Services?);

Level III presentation will remain the same;

Renewal certification has eliminated 3 hours of Victim Rights training from its requirements;

All other training requirements will stay the same.
