Description

MASBHC announces Dr. Jess Shatkin to present at this year's conference!

One of our keynote speakers this year will be Dr. Jess Shatkin. Dr. Shatkin specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU. He leads the educational efforts of the NYU Child Study Center, where he is the Vice Chair for Education and Professor of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the NYU School of Medicine. He has written more than 100 articles, chapters, and published abstracts, as well as 3 books. In 2017, he wrote a book called ‘Born to be Wild.’ This groundbreaking, research-based guide discusses risky behaviors in teenagers and how to keep them safe. Dr. Shatkin says that his job is to “listen and learn from” his patients and we are very excited to have him on board. In addition, Dr. Shatkin hosts "About Our Kids," a two-hour call-in radio show broadcast live every Friday morning on Sirius/XM's Doctor Radio.

Early Bird Registration will be open until May 6th at $125/person. After May 6th, the registration rate will go up to $140. There is a team discount of 10% for organizations that would like to send 5 or more individuals. See the "Group Discount: Early Bird" ticket. You will have to enter the information for each conferecne attendee when you register under the group discount rate (i.e. their contact information, email and their Breakout Session selections).

This activity will be submitted to the Maryland Nurses Assocaition for approval to award contact hours. The Maryland Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
