Description

Reconciliation as Expressed in Music

Thursday, February 8 at 7 pm

Cathedral of St. John, 271 North Main St., Providence

Choral and instrumental performances by students from the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School, and other guest performers.

Between January and March 2018, the Center for Reconciliation will host a series of events inspired by Dr. King's writings on the "Beloved Community." Join us as we celebrate his work through the perspectives of faith leaders, as expressed in art and music and as celebrated in worship by two faith communities.

This is an opportunity to explore the meaning and practice of reconciliation through the medium of music with time to reflect on what reconciliation means to you and how you might practice it in your own life.

Choral and instrumental performances featuring students from the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra Music School, Ruach Singers, and the Providence Gay Men’s Chorus.
