Estate Planning for Every Montanan  with Dr. Marsha Goetting

Wildflower Reflections on Families, Legacies & Challenging Decisions

Do you know who will receive your property if you pass away without an estate plan? Do you know when wills or trusts have control over property and when they don't? Dr. Marsha GoettingMontana State University Extension Family Economics Specialist will answer these questions and also explore how you can avoid probate with payable on death designations (PODs,) transfer on death registrations (TODs,) and other beneficiary designations. In this informative, entertaining presentation, Dr. Marsha Goetting combines her appreciation of Montana wildflowers with her desire to help you remember strategies to make estate planning easier and less expensive. She will provide illustrations of how your title on real and personal property impacts who receives it upon your death.

Dr. Marsha A. Goetting is a Professor and Extension Family Economics Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman. During the past seven years she has presented over 500 educational sessions reaching over 15,000 Montanans with financial and estate planning information.
