Video is an essential part of a well-rounded communications strategy as well as an effective vehicle to showcase the impact of great programming to prospective funders, audience members, artists, participants, and volunteers.
Unfortunately, many arts and humanities nonprofits present lackluster videos with static wide shots of performances, slideshows of art, or excessive talking head interviews with staff or board with an unclear call to action.
This Video Clinic lead by Docs In Progress Executive Director Erica Ginsberg and independent video producer Martha Dodge is designed to help arts and humanities organizations better understand how to engage viewers with dynamic goal-oriented content. The first hour of the clinic will focus on best practices for creating and using video effectively. In the second hour, participants will be asked to share their own videos, receiving constructive feedback and ideas from the presenters and fellow participants.
