Intro

Enhance your growth and customer community by aligning frontline teams

Some of the greatest challenges a marketplace has are on the commercial frontline. This is the intersection of your offering and the external customer. They way sales, marketing and customer success coordinate this frontline has the power to shape the customer journey and your long-term success.

We will teach your team a method to align your purpose to the market. Learning how to process market tension is demanding, and you deserve a playful and engaging workshop to energise the team.

You can choose to follow one of the 2-hour courses to sharpen your skills. If you want an immersion in what’s possible, follow the full 6-hour power workshop (10-18:00 with breaks). Anyone attending the workshop is invited to join us + other WeWork Creators for lunch at 12 for Dutch breads + spreads.

Tools

The Scale-Up Toolkit is based on the current realities of business and technology. Each tool, with practice, allows you to run better team meetings, set priorities, process frontline tensions and setup a continuous learning team culture.

  • 10:00-12:00 Team Assessment

  • The full strengths assessment maps each team member to strength + shadows, so you can understand each other’s strengths and learn how to form complementary high performance teams.

  • 13:00-15:00 Concentric Purpose + Backbrief

  • For a marketplace (like e-commerce and platforms), autonomy and high alignment are critical to sustained success. Concentric Purpose is a framework for threading a common purpose from the product team to the sales to customer success teams, so everyone knows why, how, and what they are doing. The Backbrief model helps you identify common tensions coming from the market and pull them back into the product and corporate governance process.

  • 16:00-18:00 Team Exercise

  • Teams of at least 4 are taken through various scenarios to experiment with the framework and role's. Participants will learn how to integrate concentric purpose and the backbrief into a commercially oriented "sprint" and PDCA (plan-do-check-act) workflow.

Results

Using this approach, sales, marketing, and customer success teams can learn how to better work as individual or an entire commercial group. Teams become more dynamic + have a common language to support each other's development and take on a continuous learning behaviors. Immediate results are increased sense of cohesion on purpose, having a growth mindset, and a clear method of bringing customer feedback from the market back into corporate governance and product development process.
