Colorado is continually ranked as one of the top US beer producers with numerous breweries and micro breweries. Further, Denver is commonly noted as the beer capital of the US, with a growing reputation as the Napa Valley of beer. Join us to discuss with some of the top marketers in the space on March 22 at 6:30pm at the Joy Burns Center at the University of Denver for the Marketing in Breweries Panel.
Meet the Panelists:
Shannon Berner, Marketing and Communications Manager, Great Divide Brewing Co
Shannon Berner studied Strategic Communication at Miami University. Unsure what had compelled her to willingly move to Ohio, she changed course after graduation and spent 5 years living and working her way around the world. She found jobs everywhere from a tourism company in New Zealand to a University in Ecuador, and yes, even a brewery along the way. Upon returning to the US, she followed her passion for craft beer and cut her teeth in the Denver scene as the Marketing and Communications Manager for Wynkoop Brewing Co. For the last three years, Shannon has been with Great Divide, where she manages the 23 year old brewery’s marketing initiatives across the U.S. She oversees everything from packaging design, merchandising, events and sponsorships, digital marketing strategy, PR efforts, and a hundred things in between. Working for a small, yet growing, brewery, Shannon has her hand in a little bit of everything.
