Is your modeling career progressing the way you want it to?

How many agencies are you signed with?  Are they getting you work?

How many paying jobs have you done in the last month?  How about the last year?

If your answers to these questions are not what you would like them to be this workshop is for you!

Modeling is NOT about good looks and you will NOT find the good jobs by posting your pictures on the Internet.

In fact - if you aren't getting paid - you aren't really modeling.

Got your attention?  Great!

This 3 hour action packed workshop is taught by "I Shoot People!" photographer Joe Edelman. (

Joe Edelman is nationally recognized as an innovator in shaping models portfolios and comp cards that get models noticed and hired!

Learn what you need to know to get signed and get hired!

Joe will teach you the marketing techniques used by successful commercial models of all ages, heights and body types.

He even teaches you the secrets that modeling agencies don't want you to know.

Joe will cover:

How to figure out if "you have what it takes".

  •          How to determine what kind of work you are best suited for.
  •          How to chose a photographer who will shoot the style of images that you need.
  •          How to plan and execute a portfolio shoot to get images that will get you hired.
  •          How to get the perfect headshot.
  •          How to select the RIGHT images for your portfolio and comp card.
  •          Why you don't need more than 5-8 photos in when you first approach an agency.
  •          How to contact modeling agencies.
  •          Why you should NOT post your photos on a modeling or casting web site.
  •          What to wear and what NOT to wear for agency meetings and go-sees.
  •          What to say and what not to say when you visit an agency.
  •          How to say NO to spending money with an agency and still get signed!
  •          How to spot and avoid modeling scams.
  •          How to be the BOSS - That's right - YOU hire the agency.
  •          What feedback from agencies that you should ignore and what you should listen to
  •          How to write a proper modeling resume.
  •          How to audition and handle cold readings.
  •          How to help your agencies get you work.

And so much more!

This workshop is designed to teach you what you need to market yourself to agencies and get work in today's tough economy.

This is NOT old school thinking.  This information is based upon current market trends and actual successful advice that Joe is using to mentor models who are working all across the country.

"I have been attending photography classes and seminars regularly over the past ten years. I have traveled from Main to Tampa, from New Orleans to Vegas. I have seen many programs given by every level of speaker imaginable. With all of those experiences to go by, I can honestly say that Joe Edelman is the real deal. His program was brilliantly presented, well organized and pertinent. Joe’s outgoing personality, love of photography, and willingness to share his vast knowledge and experience truly make him one of the best speakers available. Do yourself a favor and make it a point to see this amazing talent as soon as possible, you won’t be sorry." – Adrian Henson – Program Director – PPofNC (Professional Photographers of North Carolina)

"By far this was the most relevant, organized and controlled workshop instructor we have had in. I am in awe of Joe and very grateful for the information he brought to the studio and attendees. EVERYONE from the creative team, models and photographers walked away with a wealth of knowledge, a feeling of being able to take the info he provided and walk away being able to use it productively in their own work. Bravo. Joe Edelman is a class act". – When Paddison – Seattle, Washington

"I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thanks so much for such an educational and truly “mind expanding” experience. You really left me considering SO much more than just camera settings, and I have a new appreciation on developing a relationship with a model & MUA to collaboratvely create art. The weekend really went beyond what I expected. Thanks for that!" – Charles A. Wynn – Phoenix, Arizona

"Joe’s insight into the human psyche and how to use that to bring out the best in people in photographs was exceptional and extremely useful. And, I love how his “magic” lighting is really extremely basic. It’s not about the lighting (as long as it works). It’s not about the other gear. It’s about the person and bringing out what’s inside of them and capturing that in a “Wow!” image. If you missed this, you really missed out." – Ernie Glazener – Seattle, WA
