About Dr. Xin (Cindy) Zhao
Dr. Xin (Cindy) Zhao is a Professor in Marketing at the School of Business in the University of Redlands. She is originally from China, where she received a bachelor's degree from Renmin University in Beijing. She also worked in China as an assistant manager for an export-import corporation. She finished her graduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Her teaching and research interest is interdisciplinary - across the fields of marketing, trade, and retailing, with a recent focus on issues related to GIS application in retail industry.
Dr. Zhao is a firm believer of lifelong learning. She has joined American Marketing Association since 2009 and has been serving on the board of the IE Chapter ever since. AMA-IE provides a great opportunity to keep her knowledge in marketing up to date, which she constantly bring back to the classroom and shares with her students. In 2017, she won the School of Business Excellence in Teaching Award.
