Event description

Description

This is a Youth (ages 8-18) and New Hunter Dove Hunt organized by the Mark Twain Chapter of Quail Forever. It is the result of a partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Missouri Department of Conservation. The Kendrick family of Paris has donated 10 acres to establish a sunflower plot for the event.

Attendees are invited to participate in clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting, and dove hunting. During the dove hunt, participants will hunt in the presence of a trained mentor and will receive proper safety instruction. Parents are welcome to accompany their children on the hunt. The Mark Twain Quail Forever Chapter will provide shells for 12 gauge and 20 gauge users. We will also have shotguns available for those who do not have their own.

Participants may only hunt during ONE time slot and priority will be given to new hunters.

Three time slots are available:

  • September 13th, Afternoon Hunt: 3:00pm-7:30pm
  • September 14th, Morning Hunt: 6:30am-11:30pm
  • September 14th, Afternoon Hunt: 3:00pm-7:30pm

Not a new hunter? Get involved and be a MENTOR or VOLUNTEER. Visit https://www.volunteersignup.org/9WP4Y to help out!
