Mark Meuser for CA Secretary of State - Rally in front of SF City Hall
Event Information
Description
Monday 8/13/18 630pm - 8pm, Rally in front of SF City Hall, on the steps on Van Ness side
Mark Meuser is on his 5000 mile bike tour around California visiting all 58 counties, making 82 stops to talk to voters on why #ElectionsMatter, why we need open, clean and accountable elections.
In June 2018 Primary election, 118,000 LA County voters' names were erroneously removed from voters roll due to "printer error"(3). Same problem also happened in Inyo, Kings, Ventura, Sonoma and Yuba counties.
LA county has 144% voters registration. San Diego county has >130%. San Francisco county has >120%. i.e. more than 100% of voters population. Deceased, moved out of town, ILLEGALS are some of causes. Now, DMV is automatically registering voters including Illegal immigrants(1). And starting this November, non-citizens will be allowed to vote for SF School Board only(2), but there is no clear guideline that differentiate them from citizen-voters. Adding to that, voters are not required to show voter's I.D. And they can not be turned away at voting polls.
Meuser has passed his half point mark now. By 8/23, he will celebrate finale in Huntington Beach. Joining him in 2nd half of the ride is Konstantinos Roditis, running for CA Controller.
Open remarks by: John Dennis (running for Supervisor District 2 covering Marina, Pacific Height) and Keith Bogdon (running for CA Assembly District 19 covering west side of SF and Daly City).
Come to hear from these 4 candidates. It will well worth your time.
Wear red, blue, white. Bring a friend or two. It's free.
