Mark Markham, Piano
Event Information
About this Event
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, we will be working on rescheduling pianist Stephen Hough's performance to our 40th anniversary season 2021-22. Pianist Mark Markham will be performing for our October 6, 2020 concert instead.
Pianist Mark Markham, who performed as a soloist with the Harrisburg Symphony and in a recital for Market Square Concerts in 2018, will return with a program "Dances and Improvisations." Mr. Markham is equally at home as a soloist, a collaborator with great singers, a chamber musician, a jazz pianist, or a vocal coach, and his interpretations have been praised by the public and press alike. His international career encompasses performances in North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, while the artistry of his playing has been described as “brilliant”, “exquisitely detailed” and “in full service to the music”.
