Donegal County Council in association with Donegal Tourism CLG are pleased to announce that a Donegal Marine Tourism Conference will take place on Thursday 8th March 2018 at the Shandon Hotel in Marble Hill, Portnablagh. The theme of this conference is 'Connecting our Coastline - The Future of Sustainable Coastal Tourism'.

This seminar will feature keynote speakers from the marine and tourism sector who will discuss a number of topics including sustainable marine tourism development, new marine technologies, digital marketing tips, trends and strategy, eco-tourism, marine themed project updates and much more.

  • Monty Halls world famous marine biologist and marine adventurer will be keynote speaker at the conference.

  • Naomh McElhatton from Smart NI will be discussing the latest digital tips and trends and facilitating a fantastic workshop in the afternoon to help local businesses develop their own online strategy.

  • Thomas Furey from the Marine Institute will be discussing exciting new technologies and marine tourism projects.

  • Beckey-Finn Britton will be on hand to tell us more about the work of the Clean Coasts initiative in Donegal.

There will be a local business case study in the afternoon and also lots of useful information stands on the day. Q&A sessions will take place offering attendees the opportunity to discuss marine tourism topics with the expert panel of guest speakers. This conference is open to everyone with an interest in marine tourism opportunities and development of County Donegal as a marine tourism destination of excellence.
