Marine Corps League - 100th Anniversary Ball (Banquet Registration)

We are excited that you will be joining us for this formal, black-tie event and look forward to hosting you! We understand that you may have questions and hope to answer them in the following information or on the MCL Sooner Detachment #559 website, www.mcl-559.org.

The Anniversary Ball evening begins at 6 pm with cocktail hour and multiple cash bars on the 2nd floor of the Omni Hotel, Oklahoma City. A cash bar will be available both inside the Anniversary Ball and dinner banquet ballroom and in the hallway just outside. An ATM is located on the 1st floor of the hotel for your convenience.

During cocktail hour, registered guests will enjoy patriotic music provided by our local favorite, Frontier Brass Band, winner of the 2022 U.S. Master's Brass Band Entertainment Championship. The band is guided by the artistic direction of Dr. Ryan Sharp, Oklahoma native and Professor of trumpet at the University of Central Oklahoma who also serves as the band's principal cornetist, and performs under the baton of Dr. Douglas Henderson, past Associate Director of Wind Conducting and Associate Director of Bands at Oklahoma State University.

Seating for dinner is prearranged for guests who have registered and purchased tickets through Eventbrite. The ticket price includes dinner, 100th Anniversary memento, commemorative program and exciting ceremonial Marine Corps League pageantry and dancing after dinner.

At 6:45 pm, all guests should be seated at their assigned tables for the beginning of our Anniversary Ball ceremony. At 7:00 pm, the Guest of Honor, Commandant of the Marine Corps League and all VIPS will be escorted into the ballroom. Prior to dinner being served, we will have the Presentation of Colors, to include the playing of the national anthem and other music, a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony, and the Chaplain will offer a prayer.

The following menu for our banquet has been determined by MCL National HQTRS. Please contact the organizer if you have questions or dietary restrictions.

SALAD-Baby Gem Caesar: Parmesan cheese, roasted garlic Caesar dressing, heirloom tomatoes, and brioche croutons

ENTREE-Herb Grilled Chicken Breast: roasted garlic whipped potatoes, braised greens, and charred tomato saffron rice

DESSERT-Oklahoma Seasonal Berry Shortcake: vanilla bean anglaise and Chantilly cream

Coffee and Tea Service

After dinner, our Guest of Honor will speak, sponsors will be mentioned, and awards will be presented. The DJ will begin a more relaxed, dance portion of our evening.

PHOTOS: A photographer will be on site to take staged memento photos before and after the official ceremony. Please bring a credit card for faster service.

PARKING: The public parking garage behind Omni hotel charges $2 per hour and $10 per day. Valet parking at Omni hotel is $34 a night/$15 an hour (up to 4 hours).
