Maribel Morey & Megan Ming Francis discuss white philanthropy’s historical role in narrowing our definitions of racial equality in the U.S.

About this event

Building upon the recent publication of White Philanthropy, author Maribel Morey will come together with Megan Ming Francis, author of “The Price of Civil Rights,” in this free, online-only community event with Seattle Arts & Lectures.

Maribel Morey and Megan Ming Francis will discuss how, today, we can take steps towards shaping more liberating relationships between funders, scholars, and movement activists, as means towards supporting and sustaining more meaningful national definitions of racial equality.

Thanks to generous funding by the Marguerite Casey Foundation, the first 100 event registrants have the opportunity to request a free copy of White Philanthropy, shipped straight to their doors by our bookstore partner.
