Mardi Green Ball: Party with a Purpose

New Orleans, LA
BRING YOUR BEADS // BRING YOUR DANCING SHOES
In the midst of the Mardi Gras madness, the crowded streets, and the abundant excess, we meet to remember the real meaning of Mardi Gras: the creative soul and spirit of the unique place we call home.
Come to our sanctuary of common belief, common purpose, green drinks and delicious local food as we celebrate, dance, and discover the ways to bring Mardi Gras back to our roots - to glass beads, local throws, and a party for all.
$15 in Advance, $20 at the door ($15 with a bag of beads to recycle) proceeds go to the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, creating local throws and opportunities to put the real green in our favorite holiday, as well as Hagar's House, a local shelter for women.
GREEN TIE / DRESS / COSTUME ENCOURAGED
Local Mexican Food from Casa Boregga, Music from Emma's Revolution (Like Rachel Maddow and Jon Stewart with guitars), The Greening of the Gras facts and stories, Square Dancing with a live caller Nathan Harrison and the Scott Walters Band, a recycled Costume Contest, Salsa music and more!
BRING BEADS TO RECYCLE BACK INTO THE MARDI GRAS MADNESS!
