Celebrate Mardi Gras at India Basin! Featuring FREE CRAWFISH BOIL, LIVE BRASS BAND AND KID'S ACTIVITIES.

About this Event

Join us for the first event of our Shoreline Saturdays series, featuring a spectacular Mardi Gras celebration on Saturday, February 29th from 12:00-3:00PM. Presented by San Francisco Parks Alliance, the celebration will feature a LIVE PERFORMANCE by Honor Brass Band, stilt walkers, a CRAWFISH BOIL, and grits, black-eyed peas, and more from Radio Africa Kitchen. FREE KID'S ACTIVITIES include mask making led by Shipyard Trusts for the Arts and outdoor games.

Price: $5 suggested donation for 18+ (includes crawfish, food from Radio Africa Kitchen, and all activities), kids are FREE, no one turned away for lack of funds.

Mocktails from Gumbo Social, desserts from Yes Pudding, beer, wine and spirits from Wachira Wines are all available for additional purchase.

About Shoreline Saturdays: Shoreline Saturdays is a series of community events celebrating the India Basin and surrounding communities and connecting them to the India Basin Shoreline Park. Shoreline Saturdays are presented by SF Parks Alliance and produced by En2Action.
