Event description

Description

Charleston’s first poet laureate, Marcus Amaker, will read original poetry that speaks to the power of connectivity, openness, truth and love. His poems will include specially selected reflections on some of Carl Jung’s most common concepts such as the paradox, the anima, the collective consciousness and more. The audience will also hear Amaker’s path to becoming poet laureate and hear poems inspired by Charleston and learn about our city’s history, through verse. Books and vinyl will be for sale. A Q&A will follow the reading. Join us for a night of poetic self inquiry and discussion.
