Event description
Join us for a lively learning experience designed to help parents and educators use improv to teach through the unknown.

About this event

Education (and parenting!) has always involved an element of the unknown, but the past few years have made that more of a focal point than an occasional experience. How can we best help our children and ourselves navigate so much uncertainty?

What if we work together to make this year a good one for our young people?

Each month throughout the 2021-2022 school year Center for Inspired Teaching will gather PARENTS AND TEACHERS together to learn about, practice with, and strengthen the skills of improvisation that can be tremendously helpful when navigating the unknown. Together we'll increase our "uncertainty tolerance" while maintaining a laser-like focus on centering children's joy and engagement.

We will hold each monthly session twice, once online and once in person.

In March we will explore:

  • "What Else Might Be Possible?"
  • Activities to improve imaginative thinking
  • Explorations of project-based learning

This is the registration page for our In-Person event. We are still finalizing the location which will be within the DC Metro area. We will send an announcement to all registrants as soon as a location is chosen.

Our ONLINE event will be held Wednesday, March 9 from 7-9 PM ET. You can find registration for that event here.
