On Earth Day, April 22, 2017, we will come together at Lake Hollingsworth. We will march during a historic time to show that we care about Earth and protecting its' beauty in unity as human beings.
At 11 AM, we will listen to live performances by SoCo Productions and students from Florida Southern College. People will be able to make posters for the march and visit booths set up by different organizations that have science experiements, information about things they are doing in the scientific community, and information about their organizations.
At 12 PM, we will have live speakers. Scientists who need their voices to be heard. Our event organizers will pump everyone up. We will also have a "training session" to remind those that this event is not against anyone, but it is for our Earth, and to remind those about Climate Change and the environment.
At 1 PM, we march. We will march around Lake Hollingsworth, a 3 mile walk, to show many people that this is one of the many places we need to protect on our Earth.
Between 2 PM and 3 PM, after the march, we will recycle any water bottles used, and any posters made. We want to help our earth by reusing and recycling, not by filling landfills or dumping it into the water. This will also be the time for people to enjoy food and delicious treats!
