March 22nd Soul Sabbath
Wed, March 22, 2017, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EDT
We know you are busy. Crazy busy. You are juggling studies, ministry, work, and family. It is in the midst of that hectic life that we invite you to join us for a day of silence, worship and prayer especially designed to nurture your soul. The Pierce Center is offering Soul Sabbath during week one of reading week. And we hope you will make it a priority to spend a day with us.
Plan to arrive at the retreat center no later than 9 a.m. when we will gather as a large group for an introduction of the day and instructions on how you will use the remainder of your day. You will have opportunity for your own time of silence and solitude indoors or outside, as well as group worship, a noon meal, and the option of meeting one-on-one with a spiritual director. The Soul Sabbath will conclude at 4 p.m.
Please bring your Bible, a journal, and a pen. That’s all, unless you have a devotional book you want to bring. Leave behind all distractions from school or work. In the slowing, we pray you will hear God’s still, quiet voice.
We are in prayer for you as your prepare for this day of Soul Sabbath.
