MN 624.714 states that in order to carry a handgun one must obtain a permit. Step one is to attend a class with a state approved instructor. This Virtual class via Zoom satisfies that requirement while following the recommendations of the State Government for Social Distancing. The standard cost is $95, payable in advance. Templar Firearms Training LLC offers discounts to several groups, including Veterans and First Responders. A link to the Zoom Training will be sent out after tickets are purchased.

*Step two will be a range qualification at Metro Gun Club. This requires an appointment and while we will have the option of going to the range after class, it can be booked separately. The cost is $25 to Metro Gun Club. This is payable the day of range qualification and you will receive the Certificate of Completion for the Sheriff that day before you leave.

This class is for the Minnesota Permit To Carry, the range qualification must be done in person, and the application must be done in person with the Sheriff in your County of residence. Non-residents may apply and obtain a permit, but please check with your state to ensure they recognize the Minnesota Permit to Carry. NO refunds will be processed for ANY reason. Standard tickets are fully transferrable.

A person holding a Minnesota Permit to Carry can legally carry a firearm in 28 States.
