The material covered in this class builds from one session to the next.  We strongly encourage you to plan to attend ALL 7 SESSIONS.  If you do not attend all  7 sessions, you will not get the full benefits of this class.

We have assembled a team of expert facilitators -- leaders in career ministry programs at area churches, all experienced both in business and in helping others learn effective ways to search for new career opportunities! Many have also been unemployed before and understand the challenges you are facing.  You will find more information about our Crash Course Team, instructors and facilitators if you continue to scroll down.   You will find a brief bio on each and a link to their LinkedIn page.

The $40 course tuition covers our direct costs of offering this program (online career assessments, printed materials, credit card processing) and scholarships for those unable to pay for the course. Our volunteers are not compensated, and facilities are provided by our sponsoring church. No one profits but you! (This course is an exceptional value.  If you were to purchase the online career assessment individually, the cost would be $132, more than 3 times the cost for this entire course!)

Kathy (Email, negotiating job offer 6 weeks after the February 2014 Class)  "With the guidance provided by the skilled teaching team, I have the needed resources and feel quite certain of my qualifications, skills and abilities to succeed in this difficult market.  The Crash Course was the BEST thing I could have done for my job search!"

Cheri  (Evaluation comments, January 2013 Class)  "This course exceeded my expectations in so many ways.  The professionalism of the team, the wealth and depth of information and the resources are invaluable."

Matt D (January 2013 Class; started a new job in March)  "What are you waiting for?  You need to take this class; it's the best $40 you will ever spend on yourself!  Seriously, I just landed a job and this course played a significant part in getting my resume moved to the top of the stack!"

David A (September 2012 Class; got a better job 3 months later)  "This is past due, but I want to send a special thank you your way. This new job is the product of prayer and the Crossroads class and I couldn't have done this without your team's time and effort. I have also referred three friends to the class. Hopefully they will enroll and learn everything that I learned!  Thank you again!"

Charlie G (May 2011 class; landed a position in July 2011) “The crash course not only enables one to quickly update their resumes, references and "elevator speeches", you learn NEW skills and search strategies needed to navigate today's employment landscape. The volunteer facilitators are effective communicators and incredible teachers. One benefit of the Crash course was the opportunity to meet people of different industries, faiths, and disciplines and share solidarity and fellowship through a tough time. I received ideas from the facilitators and fellow explorers that I would not have thought of on my own. This class is not just about 'getting a job' it is also an opportunity to take stock of one's skills and talents. It strengthened my faith and gave me peace. I hope that I can someday pay-forward the gifts and blessings that were given to me.”

Charles C (May 2010 class; landed new position 3 months after Crash course) "The Crash course was a game changer for me. First class instructors, current curriculum and outstanding practice – and all were wrapped in a faith-based approach. My offerings have clarity, meaning and purpose."

Carol A (March 2011 class; new job in June 2011) "The course forced me to reevaluate what I was looking for in my next job. Re-writing my resume -- with the guidance provided by the teaching team -- helped me recall aspects of my work experience that I had not focused on previously. I think that was what made the difference. Re-writing my resume and then leveraging on-line resources and LinkedIn really paid off! Most of all, I really believed everything I was taught and took it to heart. I simply can't thank you enough!"

Jan R (October 2010 class; employed 2 months after Crash course)  “I had been employed for over 12 years, so I was more unprepared for a job search in the atmosphere of 2010 than I could have ever imagined. The "Crash Course" was very comprehensive and the class facilitators were friendly, supportive and skilled.I would recommend the course to anyone in a job search who is unfamiliar with the "rules of the game" in this difficult market.”

Anne H (October 2010 class) "The Crash Course was the kick-in-the-pants I needed to invigorate my job search. The compressed time schedule meant that I HAD to do the self-work that was necessary to get the most out of the class. After every class I felt better about myself, my qualifications, skills and abilities. While I haven't found a position yet, I am confident that one is out there and that I now have the job-seeking talents to find it and get it. The Crash Course was the best thing that I could have done for my job search."
