National Fatherhood Initiative

We believe every child deserves a great dad.

National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization started in 1994 to reverse the nation's trend toward father absence. And our mission? Transforming organizations and communities by equipping them to intentionally engage fathers in their children's lives.
We do this through the prodcution of hundreds of skill building resources and curriculum for fathers (and mothers!), and training programs to help family and fatherhood practitioners effectively engage fathers in their children's lives. We also provide hundreds of free resources to fathers - and practitioners working with fathers and families - everywhere.

NFI is the #1 provider of fatherhood resources and the #1 trainer of fatherhood program practitioners in the country. To date, we have distributed 7,654,338 fatherhood resources through our FatherSource™ Resource Center, and have trained over 26,149 individuals (14,511 staff in person and 11,638 staff online via webinar) from over 6,666 organizations on how to deliver our programs to dads.
