Description

This workshop is being conducted by the National Center for College and Career Transitions (NC3T) on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Career and Technical Education. It will be led by Dr. Joann Hudak, former Assistant Superintendent for the Wallenpaupack School District, and will cover the following topics:

  • What work-based learning is - and what it’s not
  • Pennsylvania regulations and legal issues pertaining to work-based learning, and where to obtain more information
  • The components of an effective work-based learning program

Attendees will leave with clear and practical information on building an effective work-based learning initiative that aligns with current guidance from the Department of Education. Note that, while NC3T is not an Act 48 provider, it will, upon request, provide a letter confirming participants’ attendance.

*Coffee and registration opens at 8:00 am
