Event description

Description

Explore links between fashion, fit, and body image and see your body scanned in 3D.

Research at MMU in Fashion and Psychology comes together in this exciting event which shows how these two disciplines can work together to show that fashion is more than just ‘what we wear’; it is part of our identity and can have significant effects on how we feel about ourselves and our body.

Look at your body differently: Get the chance to see your body in 3D, and take part Body Scanning research taking part across Fashion and Psychology.

Talk about your fashion identity: Bring an unworn piece of clothing to our Clothes Swap and contribute to our ‘story tree’ about what story your unworn garment has to tell about your own fashion identity.

Learn about fashion, body image and identity: Researchers in Health and Social psychology, Fashion Business and Fashion Design will be available to talk to participants about their work on body image and feeling better about your body through fashion and body acceptance.
